Anna Saraceno is a partner of Studio Benessia – Jorio (former partner of Studio Benessia-Maccagno).
Ms Saraceno gained significant experience in the areas of the intellectual property law (both contentious and non-contentious) and commercial contracts, with particular reference to licence agreements. Anna advises universities and research centers in the field of transfer of technology and for the regulation and exploitation of the patent portfolio. She also carried out due diligence activities, dealing with the evaluation of the legal issues concerning corporate intellectual property. Ms Saraceno represents Italian and foreign clients, in litigation disputes in the different areas of intellectual property such as patents, trademarks, domain names, geographical indications, designs and models, trade secrets, copyright, unfair competition, advertising, Internet, e-commerce and information technology law, data protection.
After graduating, she attended the Post-Graduate Specialisation Course on Intellectual Property, organised by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organisation) and by the University of Turin. She started practising law and worked for a prominent international law firm, with Italian offices in Turin, Milan and Rome, and from 2005 she co-founded a law firm primarily active in the field of intellectual property and of national and international commercial contracts.
Lecturer at Politecnico di Torino, Anna currently teaches the “Law on industrial and intellectual property rights and on competition” within the “Commercial Law” course and the “Law and Technology” course. She is also a member of the Patent Board and Spinoff Board of Politecnico di Torino. Lecturer and speaker in several courses and seminars on industrial and intellectual property law.
Anna Saraceno is regularly published by major Italian law journals (Giurisprudenza Italiana, Il Diritto d’Autore, Rivista di Diritto Industriale, Il Diritto Industriale, Contratto e Impresa/Europa). Ms Saraceno co-authored books and drafted comments in the field of intellectual property.
Ms Saraceno was admitted to the Turin Bar in 2003 and has been registered to practice before the Corte di Cassazione (the Italian high court) and the other superior courts since 2015.
