Massimo Longo is a partner of Studio Benessia – Jorio (former partner of Studio Benessia-Maccagno).
His business and corporate practice involves advising audit firms and auditors and the directors and other members of the managing and supervisory bodies of listed companies and representing them before ordinary courts and arbitration panels in disputes and in other proceedings before the supervisory authorities.
Experienced in Italian and international litigation and arbitration on civil, commercial, financial matters (with a special focus on securities litigation), assisting in particular banks and extraordinary administrations.
His practice is also focused on business and corporate law, with special reference to extraordinary financial transactions and transfers of business and shareholdings in the industrial, banking and energy sectors.
Mr Longo has been a frequent keynote speaker on auditing reforms and issues in roundtables, symposia and lectures organized by audit firms, as well as lecturer in Master programs.
Another of his practice areas is administrative law, with special emphasis on tenders for works, supplies and services. He assists contracting authorities, including bodies governed by public law, in the drafting of public tender documents and in tender management and in legal proceedings before the administrative courts. Mr Longo has many years’ experience with in house corporations and public-private companies and advises public bodies on cultural property matters.
Massimo Longo graduated from the University of Turin Law School in 1992.
He was admitted to the Turin Bar in 1995 and has been registered to practice before the Court of Cassation and the superior courts since 2007.
He is an accredited arbitrator of the Chamber of Mediation and Arbitration set up at Consob. He serves as Arbitrator at the Chamber of Arbitration of Milan.
