Gaia Benessia is a partner of Studio Benessia – Jorio (former partner of Studio Benessia-Maccagno).
Ms Benessia’s practice focuses on civil, commercial, corporate, and bankruptcy litigation and arbitration, as well as on advising on a broad range of civil, commercial, corporate, bankruptcy law issues. She attained specific expertise in the field of company and business acquisitions, financial intermediation and securities regulation, ordinary and extraordinary bankruptcy administration proceedings, assisting among others bankruptcy receiverships as well as extraordinary administrations.
Gaia Benessia also worked for another prominent Italian law firm.
She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Turin Law School in 1992 and her thesis was recommended of publication. She has published on Giurisprudenza Italiana, a prominent Italian law review, and published several other articles on commercial law issues. She is currently a member of the editorial board of the Italian law review Rivista di Diritto Societario.
She was admitted to the Turin Bar in 1997 and has been registered to practice before the Court of Cassation and the superior courts since 2011.
