Prof. Alberto Jorio is a partner at the Benessia-Jorio Firm (formerly the founder of the Fubino-Jorio-Cavalli Firm).
He was previously a full professor of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Turin, after having taught private law, commercial law, and bankruptcy law at the University of Modena, as well as bankruptcy law at the Universities of Parma and Turin.
He is the author of numerous monographs and scientific publications on topics related to commercial and insolvency law.
He has served as a member of commissions set up by the Ministry of Justice for the reform of insolvency procedures.
He is the co-editor of the journal "Giurisprudenza Commerciale."
His scientific studies and extensive professional experience have made him particularly skilled in corporate and insolvency law. Due to his scientific and professional expertise, he has been appointed Liquidator of trust and real estate companies by the Ministry of Productive Activities. He is currently, by appointment of the Bank of Italy, the liquidator in the forced administrative liquidation procedure of Sicilcassa, and by appointment of the Ministry of Economic Development, the liquidator of financial companies.
He operates in the fields of civil law and commercial law, with a particular focus on corporate and insolvency matters. He is experienced in arbitration procedures, both as an arbitrator and as a legal representative, and has extensive experience in both litigation and out-of-court matters.
He has been a member of the Turin Bar Association since September 9, 1965, and was registered on the special list of lawyers authorized to represent clients before the Court of Cassation and other higher jurisdictions since July 4, 1981.
